Founder Story
Boocha comes from Bantu Chocolate, founded by Veronique Mbida, who started the brand's farm in Cameroon in 2016 on land passed down through generations by her mother. Rather than accepting the modern cocoa supply chain's exploitation of African farmers, Veronique built Bantu around fair exchange, paying collaborators significantly above commodity and Fairtrade pricing, and around regenerative agriculture that preserves both the land and the cultural traditions tied to it. Boocha grew out of that same philosophy, transforming cacao pulp juice, a byproduct of Bantu's chocolate production, into a nourishing beverage instead of letting it go to waste.
